TRIAL DESCRIPTION
Public title kinesio taping and postural correction exercises for neck pain
Official scientific title Cervical Kinesio Taping and Postural Correction Exercises Influence Clinical and Electromyographic Characteristics in Mechanical Neck Dysfunction Patients: A Randomized Blinded Clinical Trial
Brief summary describing the background and objectives of the trial Background/ Aim: Mechanical neck dysfunction (MND) with sustained trapezius muscle activities is common with poor prognosis. Kinesio taping (KT) is a new therapeutic modality to correct and treat many musculoskeletal disorders. Postural correction is a common treatment approach including repetitions of cervical and scapular retraction. Combined treatments have better effects for neck pain. So, we aimed to determine the effect of kinesio taping and postural correction exercises on neck pain level, neck diability, electromyographic characteristics of upper trapezius (UT).

STUDY DESIGN
Intervention assignment Allocation to intervention If randomised, describe how the allocation sequence was generated Describe how the allocation sequence/code was concealed from the person allocating the participants to the intervention arms Masking If masking / blinding was used
Parallel: different groups receive different interventions at same time during study Randomised Simple randomization using a randomization table created by a computer software program Sealed opaque envelopes Masking/blinding used Outcome Assessors
INTERVENTIONS
