Official scientific title |
Efficacy of Kinesio Taping and Postural Correction Exercises on levator scapula electromyographic activities in mechanical cervical dysfunction: a randomized blinded clinical trial: A Randomized Blinded Clinical Trial |
Brief summary describing the background
and objectives of the trial
|
Background: Mechanical neck dysfunction (MND) is commonly growing in numbers and affecting the young adults in their occupational abilities and performance. The superficial cervical extensors show increased activation in patients with MND. Kinesiotape is a new taping method proposed by Kenzo Kase uses elastic properties to provide less muscular and blood flow restrictions. Postural correction is a common treatment approach includes repetitions of cervical and scapular retraction. Combined treatments has better effect on MND but there is lack of experiments combine kinesiotape with posture correction
The purpose: was to determine the effect of kinesio taping and postural correction exercises on levator scapula electromyographic activities
