TRIAL DESCRIPTION
Public title Effect of specific weight bearing program on balance and lower extremity muscles strength in osteopenia
Official scientific title Weight bearing exercise for better balance (WEBB) program improves strength, balance and bone mineral density in osteopenia: a randomized trial
Brief summary describing the background and objectives of the trial Exercise is widely recommended to preserve bone health and muscles strength and reduce risk of falling by maintaining postural balance. The primary purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of weight bearing exercise for better balance (WEBB) program on hip flexors¿, extensors¿, abductors¿, and adductors¿ and knee flexors¿ and extensors¿ strength and balance in osteopenia.

STUDY DESIGN
Intervention assignment Allocation to intervention If randomised, describe how the allocation sequence was generated Describe how the allocation sequence/code was concealed from the person allocating the participants to the intervention arms Masking If masking / blinding was used
Parallel: different groups receive different interventions at same time during study Randomised A total of 78 participants were assessed, and 54 who did not meet the inclusion criteria were excluded. Twenty-four participants were included in the study and were randomly assigned to an experimental group or a control group, according to a computer-generated random assignment list Simple randomization using a randomization table created by a computer software program Masking/blinding used Outcome Assessors,Participants
INTERVENTIONS
Intervention type Intervention name Dose Duration Intervention description Group size Nature of control
Experimental Group Weight bearing exercise for Better Balance (WEBB) program training program in form of strength and balance exrcises six weeks weight bearing program 12
Control Group no intervention no intervention six weeks just control without intervention 12 Placebo
