TRIAL DESCRIPTION
Public title Nutrition/dietary intervention impact on health outcomes
Official scientific title Impact of guided nutrition and dietary intervention on nutritional/biochemical indices of non-communicable disease patients
Brief summary describing the background and objectives of the trial The study was aimed to evaluate the impact of dietary intervention on the nutritional and biochemical indices of non-communicable disease patients. There is a paucity of evidence on diet interventions in disease management/control in Sub-Saharan Africa. Interventions will comprise nutrition counselling, therapeutic menu planning/administration, monitoring/follow up.

STUDY DESIGN
Intervention assignment Allocation to intervention If randomised, describe how the allocation sequence was generated Describe how the allocation sequence/code was concealed from the person allocating the participants to the intervention arms Masking If masking / blinding was used
Factorial: participants randomly allocated to either no, one, some or all interventions simultaneously Randomised Simple randomization using a randomization table created by a computer software program Numbered containers Open-label(Masking Not Used)
