TRIAL DESCRIPTION
Public title Impact of Inspiratory Muscle Training versus Resistance Training on ventricular dysfunction for patients with Dilated Cardiomyopathy: Randomized Contr
Official scientific title Inspiratory Muscle Training versus Resistance Training on ventricular dysfunction for patients with Dilated Cardiomyopathy
Brief summary describing the background and objectives of the trial Dilated cardiomyopathy is a common clinical response to many prolonged diverse cardiac insults.Despite advances in clinical management, exercise therapy still widely used as an adjuvant therapy for patients with heart failure from different etiologies .the main objective of this study is to investigate the effect of inspiratory muscle training compared with resistance training on left ventricle dysfunction for patients with dilated cardiomyopathy.

STUDY DESIGN
Intervention assignment Allocation to intervention If randomised, describe how the allocation sequence was generated Describe how the allocation sequence/code was concealed from the person allocating the participants to the intervention arms Masking If masking / blinding was used
Parallel: different groups receive different interventions at same time during study Randomised Simple randomisation using a radomisation table created by a computer software program Sealed opaque envelopes Masking/blinding used Outcome Assessors,Participants
INTERVENTIONS
Intervention type Intervention name Dose Duration Intervention description Group size Nature of control
Experimental Group Inspiratory muscle training 3 days / week 16 weeks at 40% of maximal inspiratory pressure for 28 minutes once a day 15 Uncontrolled
Experimental Group Resistance training 3 sets /session-3 days/ week 16 weeks 50-60% of one maximum repetition 15 Uncontrolled
