TRIAL DESCRIPTION
Public title The effect of pilates exercise and spiral taping on premenstrual syndrome
Official scientific title The effect of pilates exercise and spiral taping on premenstrual syndrome
Brief summary describing the background and objectives of the trial Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) affects women’s quality of life, economic and social performance. In other study, about 23- 31 % of reproductive aged women experience PMS to a degree that affects their daily lives Pilates exercise, especially appeal to women across the world, is a flow of exercise which develops physical health (muscle strengthening, endurance, stabilization in core muscles, strengthening in respiratory muscles), psychological health (improved mood, increase in motivation and body awareness) and motor functions (muscle control, dynamic postural control, balance and coordination The aim of study is to: 1) Study the effect of Pilate exercise and spiral taping on menstrual pain and premenstrual syndrome. Significance of the study: Factors such as age, smoking, alcohol and caffeine intake, dietary patterns, oral contraceptives, anthropometirc characteristics, exercise, reproductive and menstrual history and history of sexual abuse were associated with the prevalence of PMS (Masho et al., 2005) . The etiology of PMS is still unknown uncertain, but are likely associated with aberrant responses to normal hormonal fluctuations during the menstrual cycle (Adewuya & Adewumi, 2009). Due to the negative effects of Premenstrual syndrome on an individual’s psychological status, health-related quality of life (HRQoL) may be disrupted among young females (Ju et al., 2014). Furthermore, premenstrual syndrome is a common cause of sickness absenteeism from both classes and work by the female student community (Steiner, 2000). Pilates is a very popular mind and body program widely utilized for health enhancement and treatment of assistance in various diseases (Wells et al., 2012). The exercises are always adapted to the patient's condition, respecting the difficulties, characteristics and abilities of each individual The method is designed for flexibility and range gain,

STUDY DESIGN
Intervention assignment Allocation to intervention If randomised, describe how the allocation sequence was generated Describe how the allocation sequence/code was concealed from the person allocating the participants to the intervention arms Masking If masking / blinding was used
Parallel: different groups receive different interventions at same time during study Randomised Simple randomization using a randomization table from a statistics book Allocation was determined by the holder of the sequence who is situated off site Open-label(Masking Not Used)
INTERVENTIONS
Intervention type Intervention name Dose Duration Intervention description Group size Nature of control
Experimental Group Pilates exercise and spiral taping 3 times per week for 4 weeks starting from 14 days before menstruation and continuing until its end) The girls will perform Pilates exercise 3 times per week for 4 weeks starting from 14 days before menstruation and continuing until its end) and for the spiral taping • 30 girls who will receive Pilates Exercises: comprised of warming up movements for the first 5 min then followed by 30 minutes of basic Pilate's exercises and finally ended by cooling down for the last 5 -7 min.
