Public title vitamin D and non alcoholic fatty liver disease in children
Official scientific title effect of oral vitamin D supplementation in children with non alcoholic fatty liver disease
Brief summary describing the background and objectives of the trial background: vitamin D deficiency was found to be common in patients with non alcoholic fatty liver diseae(NAFLD)and was associated withy severity of histology in several studies.the relation between the occurence of NAFLD and vitamin D deficiency is established. the effect of supplementation of vitamin D on hepatic fat content have never been tested in pediatrics. Objectives:to assess the effect of vitamin D supplementation for 6 months on NAFLD pediatric patients
