TRIAL DESCRIPTION
Public title Effect of traditional versus virtual Reality-simulated treadmill aerobic exercises on fatigue and cognitive function in post-COVID-19 subjects
Official scientific title Effect of traditional versus virtual Reality-simulated treadmill aerobic exercises on fatigue and cognitive function in post-COVID-19 subjects
Brief summary describing the background and objectives of the trial Since its debut in late 2019, coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), has fast become a major international epidemic. There are continual signs and symptoms that appear for the duration of or after COVID-19 infection, comprising dyspnea, cognitive impairment, anxiety, and sleep disturbances. Exercise is an essential part of pulmonary rehab applications for post-COVID patients. Virtual Reality (VR) is a rising era used for the remedy of many scientific conditions. This study aims to compare the effect of virtual reality-simulated aerobic exercise to the effect of traditional aerobic exercise with respect to cognitive function, fatigue, sleep quality, and participant satisfaction with exercise in post-COVID-19 individuals.

STUDY DESIGN
Intervention assignment Allocation to intervention If randomised, describe how the allocation sequence was generated Describe how the allocation sequence/code was concealed from the person allocating the participants to the intervention arms Masking If masking / blinding was used
Parallel: different groups receive different interventions at same time during study Randomised Simple randomization using a randomization table created by a computer software program Sealed opaque envelopes Open-label(Masking Not Used)
INTERVENTIONS
Intervention type Intervention name Dose Duration Intervention description Group size Nature of control
Control Group traditional exercise group Three days a week for 4 weeks 30-45 minutes Moderate-intensity continuous aerobic training on a treadmill was designed. The intensity was determined based on the Karvonen formula, as follows: THR=[HRrest + (HRmax – HRrest) 50 -60%]. 10 Active-Treatment of Control Group
Experimental Group virtual reality simulated exercise group Three days a week for 4 weeks. 30-45 minutes Moderate-intensity continuous aerobic training on a treadmill, augmented by non-immersive virtual reality, was designed. The intensity was determined based on the Karvonen formula, as follows: THR=[HRrest + (HRmax – HRrest) 50 -60%]. 10
