TRIAL DESCRIPTION
Public title Effect of Relaxation Technology Cognitive Behavioral Therapy on Depression, Anxiety, Quality of Life, and Treatment Adherence among Pulmonary Tuberculosis Patients in Ethiopia: a Randomized Control Trial
Official scientific title Effect of Relaxation Technology Cognitive Behavioral Therapy on Depression, Anxiety, Quality of Life, and Treatment Adherence among Pulmonary Tuberculosis Patients in Ethiopia.
Brief summary describing the background and objectives of the trial Despite the fact that the effect of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) interventional study has done on the anxiety, depression, among patients with other chronic diseases, and most of the studies were done separately on either the effect of CBT or the effect of RT on anxiety and depression among tuberculosis patients, as far as my knowledge is concerned, no study has been conducted on the effect of RT-CBT on anxiety, depression, quality of life, and treatment adherence of pulmonary tuberculosis patients, especially in the study area. So the objective of this study is to investigate the effect of RT-CBT intervention on depression, anxiety, quality of life, and treatment adherence of tuberculosis patients in Ethiopia.

STUDY DESIGN
Intervention assignment Allocation to intervention If randomised, describe how the allocation sequence was generated Describe how the allocation sequence/code was concealed from the person allocating the participants to the intervention arms Masking If masking / blinding was used
Parallel: different groups receive different interventions at same time during study Randomised Simple randomization using a randomization table created by a computer software program Allocation was determined by the holder of the sequence who is situated off site Masking/blinding used Outcome Assessors
