TRIAL DESCRIPTION
Public title Comparison of the Effects of Moderate-Intensity Aerobic Exercise and Combined Aerobic-Resistance Exercise on Selected Physiological Variables among Female University Students
Official scientific title A Randomized Parallel-Group Trial Comparing Moderate-Intensity Aerobic Exercise and Combined Aerobic-Resistance Exercise on Physiological Variables among Female University Students in Ethiopia
Brief summary describing the background and objectives of the trial University students are particularly vulnerable to physical inactivity because of academic workload, prolonged sedentary behaviors, and reduced participation in structured physical activity.Physical inactivity among university students is associated with adverse cardiovascular and body composition outcomes. Although both aerobic exercise and combined aerobic–resistance exercise improve physiological health, evidence comparing their effectiveness among female university students remains limited. Therefore, the present study aimed to compare the effects of eight weeks of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise and combined aerobic–resistance exercise on resting heart rate, blood pressure, body fat percentage, and lean body mass among female undergraduate students at Bahir Dar University.
