Brief summary describing the background and objectives of the trial Background: One of the most prevalent long-term neurological conditions affecting children, epilepsy causes significant psychological, social, and caregiving challenges for families. The effectiveness of incorporating a telenursing-based family empowerment program to enhance parental self-efficacy, treatment adherence, and family resilience among families of children with epilepsy is still unclear, despite the fact that both telenursing and family empowerment have demonstrated encouraging advantages on their own. Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of telenursing-based family empowerment program on self-efficacy, treatment adherence and family resilience among children with epilepsy. Methods: A quasi-experimental control and study group design was used at the pediatric neurology outpatient clinic. A purposive sampling technique used to select (172) parents of children with epilepsy and divided equally into control and study group. Five tools were used to gather data; I A structured interview questionnaire, II the Family Empowerment Scale (FES), III the Epilepsy Self-Efficacy Scale, IV the General Medication Adherence Scale (GMAS), and V the Family Resilience Assessment Scale (FRAS). While the control group received standard care, the study group received an organized telenursing-based family empowerment program.

Experimental Group Telenursing Based Family Empowerment Program 8 sessions delivered over 8 weeks (1 session per week, 45 to 60 minutes per session). 4 months (8 week intervention program followed by evaluation). A structured educational and empowering intervention delivered via synchronous (weekly interactive online sessions via Zoom Google Meet) and asynchronous telenursing methods (Arabic educational e book, PowerPoint presentations, instructional videos, phone follow-ups, and WhatsApp group support). The program consists of 4 main phases: Assessment, Planning, Implementation (focusing on epilepsy knowledge, empowerment, self efficacy, treatment adherence, and family resilience), and Evaluation. 86

Inclusion criteria: • Children aged 9-14 years. • Children diagnosed with epilepsy by a neurologist in accordance with the International League Against Epilepsy. • Children diagnosed for at least 6 months. • Parents have smart phone and easily internet access. Exclusion criteria: • Child was combined with other complications or chronic diseases. • The parents were suffering from cognitive impairment or mental illness.
