TRIAL DESCRIPTION
Public title effect of pulsed electromagnetic field on endothelial function in peripheral artery disease in type 2 diabetic patient
Official scientific title Effect of Pulsed Electromagnetic Field on Lower Extremity Peripheral Artery Disease in Type 2 Diabetic Patient
Brief summary describing the background and objectives of the trial Peripheral arterial disease has an important place in health care due to its high incidence and prevalence among Diabetic patients, as well as its consequences. It was recently reported that the management of PAD is very expensive, as the current management is centered on expensive vascular surgical interventions, with high rates of recurring hospitalizations and repeat revascularization procedures. In this study, a new method will be used trying to decreasing pain intensity level and improve the endothelial function in PAD patient by using PEMF

STUDY DESIGN
Intervention assignment Allocation to intervention If randomised, describe how the allocation sequence was generated Describe how the allocation sequence/code was concealed from the person allocating the participants to the intervention arms Masking If masking / blinding was used
Factorial: participants randomly allocated to either no, one, some or all interventions simultaneously Randomised Simple randomization using a randomization table created by a computer software program Numbered containers Open-label(Masking Not Used)
INTERVENTIONS
Intervention type Intervention name Dose Duration Intervention description Group size Nature of control
Experimental Group group A 3 sessions per week 8w patients will receive Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy over both calf muscles 15
Control Group group B 3 sessions per week 8 weeks They will have High Intensity Interval training in the form of bicycle ergometer exercise for lower limb 15 Active-Treatment of Control Group
