TRIAL DESCRIPTION
Public title The effect of flurbiprofen and benzydamine hydrochloride in sore throat due to the Laryngeal Mask Airway
Official scientific title The effect of flurbiprofen and benzydamine hydrochloride in sore throat due to the Laryngeal Mask Airway: a randomized controlled trial
Brief summary describing the background and objectives of the trial Various lozenges (Dexpanthenol lozenge), local analgesic sprays (2% lidocaine 2%, 10%) and nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (benzydamine hydrochloride spray) have been used for sore throat due to laryngeal mask airway (LMA), and no effective drug has yet been found. In our study, we aimed to evaluate the efficacy of the nonsteroidal antiinflammatory flurbiprofen spray in preventing postoperative sore throat pain due to LMA application.

STUDY DESIGN
Intervention assignment Allocation to intervention If randomised, describe how the allocation sequence was generated Describe how the allocation sequence/code was concealed from the person allocating the participants to the intervention arms Masking If masking / blinding was used
Parallel: different groups receive different interventions at same time during study Randomised Simple randomization using a randomization table created by a computer software program Numbered containers Masking/blinding used Care giver/Provider,Outcome Assessors,Participants
INTERVENTIONS
Intervention type Intervention name Dose Duration Intervention description Group size Nature of control
Control Group saline group single dose apply once To evaluate the possible sore throat pain associated with laryngeal mask airway, we aim to find the incidence of sore throat by applying saline. we will compare the effectiveness of the drugs we will apply in other groups with this group 50 Active-Treatment of Control Group
Experimental Group flurbiprofen group single dose apply once To evaluate possible sore throat due to laryngeal mask airway, we aim to find the number of possible sore throat patients by applying flurbiprofen. our results will be compared with the control group and the other group of drugs 50
Experimental Group Benzidamine group single dose apply once o evaluate possible sore throat due to laryngeal mask airway, we aim to find the number of patients with sore throat by administration of benzidamine. our results will be compared with the control group and the other group of drugs. 50
